The Jumpers Are Jumping!
Okay, first of all… Mailboat tours started on June 15th! That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. The intrepid mail jumpers of Lake Geneva have officially launched their 107th season. Best of luck to them all, and may they stay (mostly) dry!
If you’ve never been on the tour, GO. It’s amazing. There are few ways more delightful to spend a morning on the lake.
Printers Row Lit Fest
In other major news… I’ve been accepted into Printers Row Lit Fest! This festival of books and reading is held in Chicago every year and draws over 100,000 people–the biggest show I’ll have yet participated in.
I’ve just received news that I’ve been accepted to participate. I’ve been granted a table where I can sign and sell my books on both days of the weekend-long event.
I’ve also applied to provide a reading on one of their stages. I’ll let you know if that proposal is accepted!
Meanwhile, here’s where and when you can find me:
Printers Row Lit Fest
Printers Row, Downtown Chicago
September 9th and 10th, 2023
10am – 6pm both days
Wisconsin Book Festival
I’ve also applied to provide a reading, book discussion, and signing at the Wisconsin Book Festival in October, hosted by the Madison Public Library Foundation. This festival prides itself in hosting its heavy hitters–James Patterson, Neil Gaiman, Andy Wier, etc. But they’re also proud to present Wisconsin authors, so hopefully they’ll take an interest in my proposal.
They’ll make their selection later in the year, and I’ll let you know if I get in.
The chance to participate in major literary festivals such as these are a big part of why Charles and I moved to Southeast Wisconsin. I am STOKED to participate! So keep your fingers crossed for me. Your girl is going places.
